Parking

No. 2 Palace Gate, like many period properties, does not have its own parking. You can park directly outside to unload but for the rest of your stay parking will have to be at one of the local car parks. The closest 24 hour car park is Hampton Court Station, 300 yds/275 m  away on the other side of the bridge. £7.50 per day or £34.90 for a week. (Correct as of  20/01/2024)

A Period Home

Our handsome period holiday home can sleep up to eleven people, with a fully equipped kitchen, utility room, courtyard garden, spacious and airy dining/sitting room, four bedrooms (two ensuite) and two bathrooms. Eclectic and relaxed, mixing the elegance of previous centuries with the comfort and convenience of today, the house has WiFi, Internet TV, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and central heating. Ideal for anything from a family reunion to a deluxe murder mystery party.

The house is in a lively and bustling area, Hampton Court Palace is just across the road. Within a five-minute walk are more than twenty-five places to eat and drink. The closest being the Mute Swan, an excellent gastro pub, which is literally next door. There are good local shops, including a 24/7 Marks & Spencer’s. So, if you run out of champagne at one in the morning, you can re-supply in minutes!

There are two Royal Parks, and miles of riverside walks on the doorstep. In the summer season, riverboat services can take you east to Westminster or west to Windsor. You can also hire rowing boats and small motorboats just over the bridge from the house.

If that’s not enough for you the train station, also just over the bridge, takes you into central London (Waterloo, via Wimbledon and Clapham Junction) in about 35 minutes. See our Places of Interest for twenty visitor attractions and sporting venues within an hour’s drive.
